My friend Isabella has a gorgeous rich voice, and 17 years ago we recorded more than 20 songs of hers in my bedroom. It was just single live takes of her singing and playing guitar. The tracks were not released at the time, but on revisiting them we decided to put out a collection.
Isi chose 11 tracks for me to “remaster”. I didn’t have access to the raw recordings, just the mixes I had done at the time. These mixes by my younger self had their issues!, such as too much sibilance in the reverbs, but my older self did his best to mitigate them.
